Annual General Meeting with illustrated review of Burbage Heritage in 2016.

The history of Concordia Theatre with Judy and Malcolm Peatfield followed by a behind the scene's visit to the theatre. Date to be confirmed.

Thursday 6 April

Sharrad Gilbert - A forgotten hero from Burbage. Talk with Greg Drozdz chairman of the Sharrad's Stone Appeal. A memorial is planned to be unveiled summer 2017 in St Catherine's Churchyard.

Thursday 4 May

A walk around historic Wolvey hosted by the Wolvey Local History Group followed by a display and refreshments.

Sunday 7 May 10.00am - 4.00pm Burbage Common

Burbage Common Open Day -The group will be holding a display with aerial views and maps of Burbage.

Thursday 1 June

The National Garden Scheme with Mary Hayward followed by a visit to local open gardens. Date to be confirmed.

Thursday 22 June 2.00pm St Catherine's Church South Gate

Members only blue plague walk around Burbage followed by (weather permitting) refreshments in a local member's garden.

Thursday 6 July

The country railway station a new talk by Brian Johnson on the small self-contained communities which grew out of the establishment of the railways.

Sunday 9 July

A rail trip on the Bosworth Battlefield Line and Sunday Lunch.

Thursday 3 August

The Manor Houses of Leicestershire with Peter Liddle - Followed by a visit Donnington Le Heath Manor House, date to be confirmed.

Thursday 7 September

The History of Burbage - Jo Garner Williams. An update on the authors work on the epic history of the village.

Friday 8 September 1.00pm

A guided walk around Burbage with Sylvia Whitworth followed by afternoon tea at Ellen Louisa's Tea Rooms, Burbage. Limited places must be booked with additional charge for afternoon tea.

Thursday 5 October

Wide Horizons, James Rawlings, from a local company based in Hinckley, talks about his aerial photography survey company which specialises in the use of drones to survey heritage buildings.

Tuesday 31 October 7.00pm St Catherine's Church South Gate

Haunted Burbage walk with Sylvia Whitworth. Hear many of the stories based on historical fact that haunt the village. Booking required due to limited numbers - this is a fund raising event, charge £3.00.

Thursday 2 November

The local boot and shoe industry with Rosemary Coe and Linda Bent.

Thursday 7 December

Stilton Cheese making with Deborah Spence of Long Clawson Dairy. Samples of Stilton and other cheeses with a chance to purchase some ready for Christmas.
